Hi! I’m Dan Flickinger. Thanks for stopping by.

Just what the world needs is another travel writer.  I sincerely know that and only hope to offer a different take on what I see as I travel to places around the world.  Generally I travel alone, so I guess doing this blog keeps me from talking to myself too much. (I still do that for sure.)  And, fortunately I am sure you are thinking, I do still have a full time job, based in Seattle.

The photos are all my own, taken with a Nikon D750, using various lenses. They are only mildly retouched as I really want to show what I actually saw, not some artistic interpretation.

I so much believe that the journey is as key as the destinations and you will see a number of posts about my experiences on the trip to or from.  Often that is when the interesting and funny stuff happens.
